About Me

My name is Peicheng Lei, you can call me Terry, and I will graduate in product design in 2022. I am an immigrant who arrived in San Francisco when I about finished my second year of college as an interior design student in 2011. Today I am still on my way to achieving my first bachelor's degree. I don't think I really have the talent on learning a new language, and that has been made my student life tougher than I thought. The only thing that kept me going is my dream: to be a product designer.

I tried to search in my mind what is the "WOW" moment for me to start learning product design, It really inspired me with thinking “why”, why I want to have a career in product design. A few years ago, I was in a college senior show, a series of car prototypes caught my eyes, such a miracle moment. A person is able to transform his/her thought that used to only exist in their brain: thought is just a thought, that is flat and nothingness and no one is able to see it, but that person made his thought into the real thing, I could see it, touch it, and understand it. I think that is cool, and this is what I want to do in the future.
